Azerbaijan Finishes Islamic Games With 59 Medals

The sixth Islamic Solidarity Games have wrapped up in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with Team Azerbaijan delivering a strong finish on the final day of competition.

Azerbaijani athletes added four more medals on the closing day, bringing the country’s overall tally to 59 medals: 9 gold, 19 silver, and 31 bronze. This result placed Azerbaijan 10th in the overall medal standings.

Turkey topped the table, followed by Uzbekistan in second place and Iran in third. Athletes from 57 countries took part in the Games, competing across multiple disciplines.

For Azerbaijan, the performance marks another solid showing on the international stage, with consistent results across individual and team events.
