A NATO Mobile Training Group from the Allied Joint Force Command in Brunssum has launched a course in Baku focused on “Lessons Learned,” Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense reported.
The program is held under the 2025 Individual Partnership Cooperation Programme between NATO and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense.
Speaking at the opening session, Lieutenant General Azer Aliyev, Chief of the Main Operational Directorate, welcomed the instructors and participants, emphasizing the importance of such events in expanding military cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO. He highlighted that Azerbaijani servicemen have effectively applied the experience gained in recent years.
NATO instructors then provided participants with an overview briefing about the Alliance, along with presentations on NATO’s organizational structure and operational experience gathered through exercises and missions.
The international event, hosted at the War Games Center of the National Defense University, includes both theoretical and practical sessions on NATO operational planning, command and control, and other related topics.
