Azerbaijan remains one of the leading countries by the number of students pursuing higher education in Ukraine, with more than 5,000 Azerbaijani nationals currently enrolled at Ukrainian universities.
According to Ukrainian Ambassador to Baku Yuriy Husyev, who shared the data on social media, Azerbaijan is among the top three sources of international students in Ukraine.

“Over 5,000 Azerbaijani students have chosen Ukrainian universities for their higher education,” the diplomat wrote.
Citing figures from Ukraine’s Ministry of Education and Science, Husyev noted that China leads the list with 6,846 students, followed by Azerbaijan (5,017) and Georgia (1,081). Other top-sending countries include India (930), Morocco (723), and Turkey (636).
The Ukrainian Embassy in Baku expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani students “for their trust and interest in Ukrainian education.”
The statement added that, together with Study in Ukraine director Olena Shapovalova and her team, the embassy plans to further strengthen educational cooperation between the two nations.
