The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan has published its official ranking of national athletes for October 2025, with Greco-Roman wrestler Ulvi Ganizade taking the top spot.
According to Report, Ganizade leads the standings with 400 points, sharing the same score with fellow Greco-Roman wrestler Khasrat Jafarov and freestyle wrestler Giorgi Meshvildishvili, who ranked second and third, respectively, based on tie-breaking criteria.
Olympic judo champion Zelim Kotsoev occupies fourth place with 350 points, while freestyle wrestler Osman Nurmagomedov rounds out the top five with 340 points.
The top 10 athletes also include:
Zelim Tskaev (judo) – 330 points
Eldaniz Azizli (Greco-Roman wrestling) – 320 points
Eljan Hajiyev (judo) – 310 points
Murad Ahmadiev (Greco-Roman wrestling) – 250 points
Arseni Djioev (freestyle wrestling) – 250 points
The rankings reflect the continued dominance of Azerbaijani wrestlers and judokas on the national stage, as they maintain strong performances across international competitions.
