Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has signed a decree amending the regulation on the implementation of the law granting Turkic-speaking foreigners the right to freely practice their professions and crafts, and to work in public or private institutions, organizations, or workplaces in Turkey.
According to the decree, published in the Official Gazette, citizens of Turkic-speaking countries seeking a work permit in Turkey will now have to meet several conditions.
These include possessing a valid residence permit, posing no security threat in the course of their professional activities, providing certification equivalence for credentials obtained abroad, and proving affiliation with the Turkic community.
