Two Azerbaijani citizens have been detained aboard a vessel delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry confirmed to Oxu.Az.
According to ministry spokesperson Aykhan Hajizade, the individuals have been identified as Parvin Azimov and Orkhan Samedzade, both members of the ship’s crew employed in Turkey.
“Thanks to measures taken by our embassy in Israel, their release and return to Turkey – at their own request – are being arranged,” Hajizade said.

The Foreign Ministry did not specify the reason for the detention but emphasized that diplomatic efforts are underway to ensure the safe repatriation of the Azerbaijani nationals.
