President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan spoke by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday to extend birthday greetings, according to the Azerbaijani presidential press service.
Putin expressed appreciation for the call and the congratulations. The two leaders also discussed the current state and prospects of Azerbaijani-Russian relations, exchanging views on ongoing cooperation between the two countries.
The conversation came as both nations continue dialogue on regional developments and bilateral partnership across political, economic, and security spheres.
