Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held talks in Copenhagen with Moldovan President Maia Sandu.
According to Azertac, Aliyev congratulated Sandu on the victory of her Party of Action and Solidarity in the recent parliamentary elections, saying the outcome reflected the will of the Moldovan people.
Sandu thanked him for the remarks and in turn congratulated Aliyev on the progress achieved in Washington, under U.S. mediation, on the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Aliyev stressed that the agreements reached carry historic significance.
The two leaders discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral ties, highlighting broad opportunities for cooperation, particularly in the energy sector.
Sandu noted that Moldova deeply values Azerbaijan’s support, especially during times of acute energy need.
