Trampoline competitions have officially kicked off at the 3rd CIS Games, bringing together 43 athletes from seven countries: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Russia, and Belarus.
On the opening day, men and women competed in the individual qualification rounds. Azerbaijan was represented in the women’s program by Seljan Mahsudova – who recently set a world record in Germany – alongside Shafiga Gumbatova and Vafa Alisultanova. In the men’s field, Nijat Mirzayev, Ali Niftaliyev, Mahsud Mahsudov, and Mehdi Aliyev took part.
Following qualification, gymnasts from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Russia advanced to the women’s finals, while athletes from Belarus, Russia, and Azerbaijan qualified on the men’s side.
Azerbaijan will be represented in the women’s individual final by Seljan Mahsudova. In the team competition, the country will field Mahsudova, Gumbatova, and Alisultanova, as well as Mahsudov, Huseyn Abbasov, and Mirzayev.
