Azerbaijan Showcases Women Leaders in Cybersecurity

Azerbaijan will host its first international conference on women in cybersecurity on October 11, part of the broader Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge (CIDC2025) cyber festival.

The “Women in Cyber” event, organized by the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security, aims to strengthen women’s role in the global cybersecurity sector and create opportunities for young professionals.

According to organizers, the goal is to expand women’s participation in leadership positions within the rapidly evolving cyber landscape, while fostering knowledge exchange between established experts and students from multiple countries.

Speakers will include well-known cybersecurity specialists such as Tural Mammadov, Clyde Mägi, Elsa Neeme, Jana Krimpe, Nataliya Tkachuk, Dr. Fariz Ismailzade, Rauf Jabarov, Nino Vadakaria, Natalia Spinu, Nata Goderdzishvili, Olga Pasichnyk, and Zari Uslu, among others.

The program will feature panel discussions on crisis communication, cyber resilience, and the role of women in shaping the future of cybersecurity, alongside personal success stories from women in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Estonia, and the UAE.

The conference will take place at ADA University in Baku.
