A pilot school bus project will launch in Baku on October 1, covering a number of public and private schools in the city center, according to KhazarTV.

The initiative, developed by the Ministry of Science and Education, aims to ensure safe and convenient transportation for students. More than 1,200 children have already enrolled, said project co-founder Orkhan Abbasov.

“The project is running in pilot form this year. From next year it will be expanded to other schools. Parents can download a mobile app to register their children, choose schools, and view service prices”.

“Fees start from 100 manats, with special discounts for families of martyrs and veterans,” Abbasov noted.

In the initial stage, the service will operate in eight public and three private schools. It will be available to students from grade 1 through grade 11. Pricing depends on distance, number of children, and whether parents choose one-way or round-trip service.

Parents welcomed the initiative, saying it would provide greater safety and convenience both for children and families.
