Azerbaijan sharply increased its gold exports in the first eight months of the year, reaching $210.7 million, more than double the figure for the same period in 2024, according to the September edition of the “Export Review” published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
In August alone, gold exports totaled $31.9 million, a 49.5 percent jump compared with August 2024.
The report also highlighted steady growth in non-oil exports overall, which rose 10.3 percent year-on-year in January–August, totaling $2.4 billion.
State-owned mining company AzerGold accounted for the bulk of gold sales abroad, exporting $148 million worth of products over the eight months – a gain of $75 million, or 2.03 times, compared with the same period last year.
