“For more than 30 years, we have worked together – from fighting terrorism to advancing energy security and prosperity in both countries,” Carlo said, according to Report.

“It is an honor to be here at this historic moment for Azerbaijan and the United States. The initiative to initial a peace agreement at the White House on August 8 marked a bold new chapter for the South Caucasus. The U.S. is committed to helping establish lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.”

She emphasized that stability would unlock the region’s potential as a hub for trade, transit, and energy – laying the foundation for future economic cooperation.

Carlo also pointed to the memorandum of understanding signed in Washington by President Donald Trump and President Ilham Aliyev, describing it as the first step toward a strategic partnership. She said her personal goal over the next three years is to deepen U.S.–Azerbaijani relations, strengthen the peace process, and expand economic opportunities for both nations.

“I have already seen that Azerbaijan has a rich culture, welcoming people, beautiful landscapes, and delicious cuisine. During my time here, I look forward to experiencing all of this,” she added.
