Azerbaijan is preparing to enroll 70,000 citizens in Coursera, one of the world’s largest online education platforms, by April next year.
The initiative was announced by 4SIM executive director Fariz Jafarov during the second day of the Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF-2025) in Baku.
According to Jafarov, more than 30,000 Azerbaijanis have already earned around 63,000 certificates through Coursera over the past four months.
“This platform helps close skill gaps in the shortest possible time. Overall, these initiatives are just one part of 4SIM’s strategic programs,” Jafarov said.
He added that under Azerbaijan’s digital economy strategy, more than 50 initiatives are planned. These efforts are expected to boost GDP, spur company growth, and attract both international investment and talent to the country.
