Azerbaijan’s Media Development Agency (MEDİA) has sounded the alarm over what it calls a new wave of disinformation targeting the country on foreign outlets and social media platforms.

According to the agency, the campaign includes fabricated reports alleging that Azerbaijan is supplying arms to Ukraine through a third country, as well as false claims suggesting Baku would withdraw from the Eurovision Song Contest if Israel participates.

What particularly concerns MEDİA, the statement says, is the “republication of these falsehoods in segments of Turkish media and social networks,” echoing narratives first circulated by hostile outlets abroad.

The agency urged international organizations, journalists, and civic activists not to amplify unverified claims, calling instead for vigilance against coordinated disinformation efforts aimed at Azerbaijan.
