“The past five years are a history of Victory – our glorious history,” President Ilham Aliyev told residents of Qirmizi Bazar, Hadrut and Sos during a community meeting in the Khojavend district.
Aliyev said returning families are being settled with core services in place – “water, gas, electricity, heating, a school, a medical point, roads” – adding, “the most important thing is that this is our native Karabakh.”
“We have proved to the whole world that we are a strong and resolute people… The past five years showed that no foreign force could influence our will,” he said.
Listing new infrastructure, Aliyev noted Azerbaijan has built “cities, villages, bridges, tunnels, reservoirs and power plants” and argued that the scope of reconstruction “in Karabakh and Zangezur” has no parallel elsewhere.
“The main thing is for the Azerbaijani people to live comfortably, happily and in peace,” he said.
