Azeris Eat Out More: Restaurant Turnover Jumps 14%

Azerbaijan’s public catering turnover reached AZN 1.751 billion in January–August, up 14% in real terms from a year earlier, according to the State Statistics Committee.

Within the private sector, legal entities accounted for 51% of turnover and sole proprietors for 49%. Turnover generated by legal entities rose 13.7% year on year to AZN 886 million, the data show.

The figures underscore resilient demand in restaurants and cafés—an industry Azeris famously indulge—despite broader economic headwinds. Authorities did not provide a breakdown by region or cuisine segment.
