Azerbaijan recorded 27,509 marriages and 12,146 divorces in January–August 2025, according to the State Statistics Committee (SSC). The events were registered by district and city civil registry offices of the Ministry of Justice.
Compared with the same period last year, the marriage rate rose from 4.5 to 4.6 per 1,000 population, while the divorce rate eased from 2.1 to 2.0 per 1,000. The figures appear in the SSC’s latest publication on macro-socioeconomic indicators for the first eight months of the year.
