Fernando Santos, the recently dismissed head coach of Azerbaijan’s national football team, is demanding €4.5 million (≈ 8.9 million manats) in compensation from the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), according to Sportinfo.

The veteran Portuguese manager, who previously led his home country’s national team, has made clear he will not accept a reduced settlement. Sources say Santos directly told AFFA officials that he intends to pursue the full amount stipulated in his contract.
