A 57-year-old man raped a 13-year-old girl in Ganja.
According to Oxu.Az, the incident occurred in the backyard of a house in the city, an area known as “Myasokombinat.”
A local resident, Rauf Mammadov (born in 1967, last name is a pseudonym – ed.), while visiting his daughter’s house, noticed his son-in-law’s cousin, A.N. (born in 2012), and decided to commit a sexual act against her. It was revealed that the minor lives with her grandparents, not her parents. He found out their address and started visiting their home.
One day, Rauf learned that A.N.’s grandparents had gone to the city to visit relatives and would return late. He came to A.N. and s d back. Rauf then pulled a knife and a toy pistol that looked real from his pocket and started threatening the girl. He said that if she made a sound, he would kill her grandparents. Terrified by Rauf’s threats, A.N. froze.
Taking advantage of this, Rauf pushed the girl to the ground, had sexual intercourse with her, and ordered her not to tell anyone. Additionally, Rauf ordered the girl to come to him whenever he called and have sex with him whenever he wanted. Otherwise, Rauf again threatened to kill her grandparents.
He had sexual intercourse with the girl several times in the courtyard of her grandfather’s house.
One day, Rauf called the girl to meet again, but she did not come and went to school instead. Rauf followed her, called her into the schoolyard, and began threatening her. One of the teachers saw them in the schoolyard and asked Rauf what he was doing there. Seeing the teacher approaching, Rauf fled the scene.
The teacher reported the incident to the girl’s father and grandfather. The teenager then told her parents what had happened.
A criminal case was opened in connection with the incident, and Mammadov was detained by police and handed over to the investigation.
The Ganja Court for Serious Crimes sentenced R. Mammadov to 17 years in prison.
